Indonesia to revise e-commerce rules, tighten oversight of online platforms

In a statement issued Wednesday, Trade Minister Budi Santoso said the proposed amendments to Trade Ministry Regulation No. 31 of 2023 will focus on increasing the visibility of local products, simplifying business licensing, improving transparency in platform partnerships, strengthening consumer protection and enhancing governance of digital technologies.
