China's Luxshare fined by SAMR for gun-jumping in Wingtech acquisition
( May 27, 2026, 08:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Chinese electronic-components manufacturer Luxshare Precision was fined 900,000 yuan ($132,000) by China’s State Administration for Market Regulation for gun-jumping in its acquisition of part of Wingtech Technology’s electronics-manufacturing business. In a penalty decision released Wednesday, SAMR said Luxshare completed its January 2025 acquisition of three Wingtech subsidiaries before filing the deal for merger review, breaching China’s Antimonopoly Law. The regulator said the transaction qualified as a reportable concentration because Luxshare obtained sole control of the target business, but found it didn’t eliminate or restrict competition. SAMR said it imposed a reduced penalty because Luxshare voluntarily reported the violation before the regulator became aware of the conduct and later strengthened its antitrust compliance systems.Statement follows and penalty decision is attached (in Chinese)....
