Authorities cited issues including repeatedly seeking user consent for data collection; forcing users to agree to the collection of non-essential personal information; failing to promptly delete data after account cancellation; and collecting location, contact list and text-message information in unrelated scenarios. The regulator also said some apps failed to provide users with an option to opt out of personalized recommendations.
