Blanket social media ban for minors would fall short, children’s groups say

As the UK’s consultation on children’s digital wellbeing comes to a close, the coalition called for curbs on harmful design incentives, stricter AI regulation and an independent Online Safety Commissioner, on top of a ban. The group also asked to include the protection of children in the design of online services and policy decisions.Statement follows....
