US DOJ submits competitive impact statement for Agri Stats settlement
( May 21, 2026, 23:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice's settlement with Agri Stats addresses "the concern that processors can use Agri Stats reports to effectively monitor output decisions by their competitors and either coordinate a reduction in output or make pricing decisions based on non-public information about competitor-specific or industry-wide output," the government wrote in a competitive impact statement about the agreement. The DOJ said it is satisfied that the relief required by the proposed final judgment will remedy the anticompetitive effects alleged in the complaint against Agri Stats.See attached file....
