( May 22, 2026, 06:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products said in a statement Thursday that it was concerned about the European Commission’s proposed “Industrial Accelerator Act,” warning that provisions tied to public procurement, public support and foreign investment screening could restrict Chinese companies’ access to the EU market and increase uncertainty for investors. The chamber said Chinese companies had lawfully integrated into Europe’s green-technology supply chains, including in electric vehicles, solar panels, batteries and wind power, helping lower Europe’s clean-energy transition costs and expand consumer choice. The chamber urged the EU to maintain fair competition and open cooperation, adding that it would support member companies in responding to challenges arising from the legislation.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
