Australian privacy regulator consults on automated decision-making guidance

In a statement on Monday, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner said it has published an issues paper and a questionnaire seeking feedback to produce guidance that can assist entities in complying with the obligation. The automated decision-making obligation, introduced under the first tranche of privacy law changes in 2024, commences on Dec. 10, 2026. Submissions close June 15.Statement follows.
