Extend EU CO2 rules for cars, vans to low-carbon aluminium, industry groups say

( May 18, 2026, 09:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The planned EU carbon dioxide rules for cars and vans should be extended to low-carbon materials such as aluminium as excluding them would undermine industrial competitiveness and create regulatory inconsistencies, industry groups have said.
