Animal health company Zoetis seeks to acquire Neogen, New Zealand regulator says

In a statement on Wednesday, New Zealand’s Commerce Commission said it received a clearance application from Zoetis to acquire the global animal genomic testing business of Neogen. In a statement of preliminary issues, the regulator said in New Zealand, Zoetis and Neogen provide genetic testing services for livestock to farmers. The regulator said it will assess the degree of constraint that Zoetis and Neogen impose upon one another.
