Google News administrative proceeding begins in Brazil

This comes on the heels of a long-running probe into Google’s use of journalistic content. On April 23, CADE’s judicial body unanimously voted for a full administrative process. The tech giant has been given 30 days to submit its defenses, including evidence and identifying three witnesses. The agency is also asking that Google provide detailed financial and corporate information for 2025, including revenue data.
