The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, or ACEA, called on May 6 for a broader emissions averaging regime, a lower 2035 CO2 reduction target and greater recognition of e-fuels and hybrids. The lobby group also warned against corporate fleet mandates and said uncertainty over the EU-US trade deal would further hurt European carmakers already under pressure from tariffs and Chinese competition.More leeway and a greater emphasis on technological neutrality are needed for car manufacturers to manage the transition to electric vehicles, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, or ACEA, warned on May 6....
