Genea-Embrace Fertility merger faces Australian regulatory review
( April 29, 2026, 06:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The proposal to acquire 100 percent of the shares in Embrace Fertility by Genea Holdco SA, via a special purpose vehicle Genea Bidco SA, will be reviewed by the Australian antitrust watchdog. In a statement on Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said the proposal also involves the owner of Embrace Fertility acquiring a minority stake in Genea in return. The regulator said Genea owns an IVF and fertility business called Fertility SA that provides assisted reproduction services through a clinic in South Australia’s Adelaide. The statement said Embrace Fertility is an independent gynecology and IVF and fertility business providing assisted reproduction services in Adelaide as well.
