Borg takes office as Malta’s new Data Protection Commissioner

( April 27, 2026, 08:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Reno Borg has taken over as Data Protection Commissioner in Malta, the national regulator said on Monday. Borg, a former lawyer at the office of the Attorney General, will hold the post for five years, following the mandate of the previous commissioner Ian Deguara. Borg has previously served as Malta’s first Financial Services Arbiter and as chairman of several state institutions.Statement follows....
