Microsoft to invest A$25 billion in Australia's AI infrastructure

In a joint statement on Thursday, Australia’s Innovation Minister Tim Ayres and Assistant Minister for Technology Andrew Charlton said the memorandum of understanding outlines plans to boost investment in tech infrastructure, support AI adoption and train three million workers. The MoU, signed under Australia’s National AI Plan, is a high-level, non-binding arrangement aligned with national interest objectives, the Department of Industry, Science and Resources said in a separate statement.
