Telecom access disputes can take parallel resolution tracks, EU legal opinion says

( April 23, 2026, 10:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Access disputes over telecom infrastructure in the EU may be simultaneously handled both in a dispute settlement process at the national telecom authority and by court proceedings, according to a non-binding opinion prepared for EU judges and published on Thursday. The opinion, by EU Court of Justice Advocate General Maciej Szpunar, considers questions from the Slovenian Supreme Court in relation to a dispute between Telekom Slovenije and rival operator T-2, which denied the former access to its ducts for fiber optic cables. EU judges will consider the opinion and rule at a later date.Opinion attached....
