Australia proposes new rules to regulate cash distribution sector

In a statement on Wednesday, Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers said the government has released draft legislation to regulate the cash distribution sector. He added that the framework, informed by recommendations from the Council of Financial Regulators and the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, is designed to support access to cash nationwide, promote fair and transparent commercial arrangements.
