Telegram urged to widen child sexual abuse content detection amid UK probe

The Internet Watch Foundation, which provides platforms with tools to detect certain kinds of illegal content, said it shared regulator Ofcom's concerns that bad actor networks were operating across Telegram’s ecosystem.Telegram has been told to urgently expand safeguards to all parts of the platform by a well-known UK online safety group after the country's online safety regulator Ofcom announced an investigation into its approach to child sexual abuse material, or CSAM....
