Diversification appears feasible for oil and gas, thanks to routes through neighboring countries, but important costs would persist, particularly for gas. In the nuclear sector, dependencies traceable to Soviet-era technology further entrench the relationship, notably with the ongoing Paks II reactor project.The Druzhba pipeline snaking across eastern Europe, recently damaged by Russia, has put Hungary's energy mix under the spotlight given the country's increased reliance on Russian fossil fuels....
