Australian federal court allows generative AI use with strict guidelines

The court's practice note applies to all those who appear in court. It states AI could increase court efficiency, but presenting false information is “unacceptable.” Mortimer cautioned against uploading confidential information to AI tools because users could not necessarily track who had access to it.
