Schleswig-Holstein sees 40% increase in reports of data offenses

( April 16, 2026, 14:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The German state of Schleswig-Holstein saw more than 2,200 reports of data privacy violations in 2025, an increase of around 40 percent on the year before, the state data regulator said in its annual report published on Thursday. The number of data breaches also rose, with 775 reports processed, up nearly 30 percent on 2024.
