EU rule-makers to discuss potential compromise on AI Act’s sectoral interplay

The proposal includes measures to reduce duplication, clarify compliance, narrow the scope of the AI systems that should be considered high-risk, and align risk management and conformity assessments, ahead of a political agreement expected by April 28.A new compromise proposal on how to reform the way the EU AI law will interact with sectoral regimes will be discussed by representatives of the European Parliament, Commission and governments on Thursday, and it includes five measures to reduce regulatory duplications, MLex has learned....
