( April 13, 2026, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: State plaintiffs opposed a motion for judgment brought by BlackRock and State Street in a US case accusing them of conspiring to artificially constrict the market for coal, arguing that their claims for antitrust damages are not barred. “As plaintiffs made clear in the initial disclosures they provided to defendants, only the states of Iowa and Nebraska are seeking to recover parens patriae damages on behalf of indirect purchasers, and they are doing so specifically under their state antitrust laws.
