TikTok disables 780,000 underage accounts in Indonesia, Roblox flagged for gaps

( April 14, 2026, 10:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: TikTok has disabled around 780,000 accounts belonging to users under 16 in Indonesia as of April 10, becoming the first platform to report compliance with new child-protection rules, the country’s communications ministry said Tuesday. The move follows the implementation of Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025, known as Tunas, which restricts underage access to digital platforms. The ministry said Roblox, while introducing global safety features, still falls short of Tunas requirements in Indonesia, citing loopholes that allow communication with unknown users. Officials warned that compliance with the regulation is mandatory and said enforcement action may follow for platforms that fail to meet the rules.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
