Under such a scenario, consumption reductions through policy or price may be required. Current plans are considered sufficient to cover demand for next winter, but increasing LNG imports would bring additional flexibility.To ensure gas security of supply next winter, Europe will need higher LNG imports than previously observed and increased reliance on gas infrastructure, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas, or ENTSOG, said in a report published Thursday (see here)....
