Dutch state appeals Bonaire climate change ruling

The Netherlands’ environment minister said the state has additional questions about the decision which can only be resolved in court. NGOs hope that the case, brought by Greenpeace and inhabitants of Dutch Caribbean island Bonaire, could prove to be a landmark and force states to better integrate overseas territories into national adaptation plans.The Dutch government on Friday announced it will appeal a court ruling that said it did not provide adequate protection against climate change to the inhabitants of Bonaire, a small Dutch island in the Caribbean....
