China's battery makers told to curb unfair competition amid tightened oversight

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Energy Administration, said at a meeting with companies and industry associations on Thursday that battery makers must resist unfair competition. Officials called for coordinated action on capacity warning mechanisms, price competition, supplier payment terms, product quality and intellectual property enforcement, while also guiding local investment promotion.
