Seed companies fined in Turkey for information exchange

( April 9, 2026, 08:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Four seed companies active in Turkey have been fined a total of around 49 million lira ($1.1 million), for exchanging sensitive information in the markets for hybrid gherkin, vegetable and fruit seeds. The companies in question are Metgen, Gautier, Antalya Tarim and Ad Rossen. A further 12 companies, including Bayer and Syngenta, struck a settlement with the authority and obtained a 25 percent discount on their penalties.
