Nvidia moves to dismiss amended US DMCA claims over YouTube scraping

( April 6, 2026, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nvidia moved to dismiss Ted Entertainment's amended US claims accusing it of improperly scraping YouTube content to train its artificial intelligence model Cosmos, saying that the circumvention provision in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act does not prohibit circumventing copy controls, or controls which restrict the ability to download, copy, distribute or otherwise reproduce such works. Nvidia argued that Congress intentionally included that exclusion “to assure that the public will have the continued ability to make fair use of copyrighted works” considering the DMCA, unlike the Copyright Act, does not provide for a fair use defense.See attached file. ...
