EU countries maintain diverging views on AI Act interplay with sectoral laws

The European Commission opposes altering the framework and is preparing a potential compromise, as negotiations pause until mid-April ahead of a tentative April 28 agreement deadline.Many EU member states don’t want to see changes to how the EU AI law interacts with sectoral regimes, with the notable exception of Germany and Italy, while some others showed flexibility for specific sectors, MLex has learned....
