Indonesia, South Korea to cooperate on data security, digital space oversight

( April 1, 2026, 11:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesian Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said on Wednesday that she and her South Korean counterpart signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul to expand cooperation in the digital sector, including strengthening data security and improving oversight of the digital space. She said the cooperation will also focus on improving the quality of public services and developing artificial intelligence talent through training and exchanges. The five-year agreement will be implemented through programs in sectors such as education, health and the digital economy, with a joint committee set up to monitor progress.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
