China's cybersecurity standards body issues draft guidance on OpenClaw AI agent

( April 1, 2026, 04:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s TC260, the nation’s cybersecurity standards body, on Tuesday issued a draft practice guide outlining security requirements for deploying and using open-source OpenClaw class AI agents, to mitigate cybersecurity risks and strengthen governance of the systems. The draft sets out measures across installation, configuration, use and removal stages, as well as cloud security, supply-chain controls and organizational oversight, including the management of employees’ “shadow agents” deployed without approval. It targets individual users and organizations deploying open-source AI agents but excludes commercialized systems.
