US FTC endorses Florida court decision ending ABA as sole accrediting agency

( March 31, 2026, 19:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission said its staff endorsed the Florida Supreme Court’s decision to eliminate the American Bar Association's status as the sole accrediting agency establishing the educational requirements to take the bar exam and become a licensed attorney in Florida.
