Publishers, authors back musicians in US copyright case against Anthropic

( March 30, 2026, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Association of American Publishers and other trade associations representing publishers and authors filed a brief in US court countering Anthropic’s claims that its use of musical works to train its AI model is a form of fair use. The associations supported plaintiffs’ motion for judgment in a copyright case brought against Anthropic. “There is nothing transformative about making and storing copies of textual works.
