The Korea Fair Trade Commission has launched on-site investigations at five companies to examine whether they failed to adjust payments to subcontractors supplying plastic bags and packaging materials despite increases in raw material costs.With raw material costs rising because of the war in Iran, South Korean food, cosmetics and detergent companies are facing antitrust investigations over suspected failures to reflect increases in input costs in subcontract payments, conduct that could be in violation of the Subcontracting Act....
