EU clinches biggest customs reform since 1968

The deal creates a new EU Customs Authority in Lille, launches a phased EU-wide Data Hub to pool national data and tightens rules for e-commerce imports by shifting more liability onto platforms. It also scraps the €150 duty exemption for low-value parcels and introduces interim taxes.The EU has reached a political agreement on its landmark customs overhaul, concluding the nearly three-year process since the proposal was originally presented....
