EU-Mercosur trade deal to apply provisionally from May 1

Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay have notified their ratification, and Paraguay is expected to follow, the commission said. European Parliament consent is needed for the deal to become definitive, and this could be years away as lawmakers have asked for legal advice on it.The EU-Mercosur free-trade deal's trade provisions and tariff cuts will enter into force on May 1, the European Commission said on Monday....
