Medibank's Deloitte data-breach report was for legal advice, Australian court hears

At a Federal Court hearing on Thursday, lawyer Neil J. Young, acting for Medibank, said the “dominant purpose” of the report was to assist the insurer’s legal advisor and law firm King & Wood Mallesons, rather than to satisfy the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority or to inform its shareholders, which he said were subsidiary to the legal purpose.
