Shipbuilders oppose engineer's request for leave to amend US no-poach case

( March 12, 2026, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Shipbuilders filed an opposition to naval engineer Susan Scharpf's motion for leave to file an amended US no-poach complaint, which if granted would add an additional engineer — Harry Forster — as a plaintiff, arguing the engineers were instructed by a Virginia federal court nearly six months ago to file any amended complaint "as soon as possible" and failed to do so. Scharpf also does not inform the court that her counsel has represented Forster for more than two years, the filing in the Eastern District of Virginia said. "If Plaintiff wanted to add another plaintiff who she will argue is not subject to a statute of limitations defense, the time to do it was between February 2024 and September 2025, not now."See attached file....
