South Korea expands data portability right in healthcare

The Personal Information Protection Commission said Wednesday that the revision to the Notice on the Transfer of Personal Information in Healthcare took effect on March 18, broadening data portability rights for patients. The changes are expected to create more personalized healthcare services by enabling the use of medical data in health consulting, according to the PIPC.
