Audiotonix-Soundtech Group deal cleared by Australia antitrust regulator

( March 18, 2026, 03:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The proposed acquisition by UK-headquartered Audiotonix of 100 percent of Soundtech Group S.r.l. has been cleared, the Australian competition regulator said. In a determination published Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that although Audiotonix and Soundtech overlap in the supply of wireless microphone systems in Australia, their combined market share is estimated to remain below 10 percent post-acquisition under any market definition. Audiotonix, which is ultimately controlled by private equity company PAI Partners, supplies wireless-microphone systems at wholesale level in Australia through its subsidiary Sound Devices. Soundtech’s subsidiaries DPA Microphones and Austrian Audio supply high-end microphones in Australia.Determination is attached....
