HPE-Juniper merger settlement judge declines evidentiary hearing for now
By Flavia Fortes ( March 16, 2026, 13:59 GMT | Insight) -- A California federal judge has declined for now to hold an evidentiary hearing on the US Department of Justice’s motion for entry of final judgment in the review of Hewlett Packard Enterprise-Juniper Networks merger settlement. US District Judge P. Casey Pitts will hear DOJ’s argument on March 23 and will not permit live testimony during the proceeding, but directed the states intervening in the settlement review to keep economist Carl Shapiro available should he determine his testimony would be useful.
