China to impose five-year antidumping duties on Japanese, Canadian halogenated butyl rubber

( March 13, 2026, 09:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Ministry of Commerce said in an announcement published Friday that it will impose antidumping duties for five years on imports of halogenated butyl rubber from Japan and Canada starting Saturday, with rates ranging from 13.8 percent to 30.1 percent. The investigation, initially launched in September 2024, found Japanese and Canadian products were dumped and caused material injury to China’s domestic industry. The investigation into imports from India was terminated in August 2025. Halogenated butyl rubber is mainly used in the inner linings of tubeless tires.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
