The Korea Fair Trade Commission said Thursday that nine companies, including Dodram, Sunjin, Haedream, Farmstory and CJ Feed&Care, agreed in advance on bid prices or minimum bid levels in Emart procurement tenders, while some also coordinated quotation prices for branded pork products. The regulator said the conduct took place between 2021 and 2023 and affected multiple supply contracts for cuts of pork, leading to higher retail prices and forcing consumers to pay more.
