Five UK water companies can increase bills, CMA says

( March 10, 2026, 07:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Five water companies will be allowed to gain an additional £463 million in revenue from higher bills for customers, the UK antitrust regulator said in a final decision. The Competition and Markets Authority had been called in to review regulator Ofwat’s determinations on what Anglian Water, Northumbrian Water, South East Water, Southern Water and Wessex Water could charge customers. The sum marks 17 percent of the £2.7 billion requested by the companies.Statement follows....
