China's Jan-Feb goods trade rises 18.3 percent as US trade falls, ASEAN and EU climb

( March 10, 2026, 05:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s General Administration of Customs said Tuesday that goods trade totaled 7.73 trillion yuan ($1.1 trillion) in the first two months of 2026, up 18.3 percent year on year, as exports rose 19.2 percent to 4.62 trillion yuan and imports increased 17.1 percent to 3.11 trillion yuan. Trade with the US fell 16.9 percent to 609.7 billion yuan, while trade with ASEAN climbed 20.3 percent to 1.24 trillion yuan and trade with the EU rose 19.9 percent to 998.9 billion yuan. Exports of mechanical and electrical products jumped 24.3 percent to 2.89 trillion yuan, agricultural exports grew 9.7 percent to 120 billion yuan; mechanical and electrical imports rose 21.3 percent to 1.21 trillion yuan and crude oil imports increased 15.8 percent to 96.9 million tons.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
