Meatpacker break-up bill introduced by US Senate Democrats

( March 5, 2026, 17:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Breaking up dominant US meatpackers and reviewing the operations of foreign-owned agriculture industry companies will expand competition, create greater fairness for farmers and ranchers, improve supply chains and lower consumer prices," according to US Senate Democrats who have introduced legislation seeking to reduce industry consolidation.
