US customs says IEEPA duties still being liquidated; refunds to include interest

( March 4, 2026, 19:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: US Customs and Border Protection said in a detailed response to a Court of International Trade order that officials are still liquidating entries for International Emergency Economic Powers Act duties after the Supreme Court overturned President Donald Trump's use of the law to impose tariffs. CBP's executive director of the trade program, Brandon Lord, also said "any validated refund of IEEPA duties would include interest," but all refunds would undergo a review process to determine eligibility and the assessment of other applicable duties.
