Philips wins UPC sleep-therapy patent dispute; ABM plans appeal

ABM plans to appeal. The UPC’s ruling, in spite of a prior ruling by the European Patent Office in ABM’s favor, found that earlier Japanese technology had anticipated the claimed invention.Philips has defeated a patent infringement suit at the Unified Patent Court after judges in The Hague revoked the patent asserted against its NightBalance sleep-positioning device, clearing the company of liability across Germany, France and The Netherlands....
