John Wood Group fined almost GBP13m by UK FCA for misleading financial results

( March 4, 2026, 11:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: John Wood Group has been fined £12,993,700 by the Financial Conduct Authority for publishing inaccurate information in its financial results for 2022, 2023 and half-year 2024 results. Wood Group’s accounting judgements were influenced by a desire to maintain previously stated financial results following the poor performance of certain projects, the regulator said. The company did not have adequate systems, controls or procedures to prevent this from happening, it said, but qualified for a 30 percent cut in its penalty after accepting the findings.Statement follows....
