Japan's NTT Docomo faces Indonesia probe over late notification of Intage deal

( March 4, 2026, 03:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, said it will conduct a preliminary examination of Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo over its alleged late notification of an acquisition. In a statement on Wednesday, the regulator said the hearing, scheduled for Monday, relates to Docomo’s October 2023 acquisition of a majority stake in Japanese market research and data analytics company Intage Holdings. The case concerns an alleged delay in notifying the transaction, which KPPU said was required because both companies have direct and indirect business activities in Indonesia. The regulator said it has also informed the Japan Fair Trade Commission of the proceedings.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
